(88), beloved husband of Mary Ann (Bdzil), passed away peacefully on March 29. The third of six children of Frank and Susan (Solano), Tony was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Al, Frankie, Frances and Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann (May), their daughters, Linda (Van Kirk) and Terese (Rowe), and grandchildren, Jim, Julie, and Jesse; Tony's brother Eugene and numerous nieces and nephews. After being graduated from Coast Guard's Maritime School, St. Petersburg, FL in 1949, Tony worked for about a year on the Atlantic in the engine room of an oil tanker. Tony then went on to work for 12 years as an operating engineer for Cleveland Cliffs where he kept their ships running smoothly. Tony went on to work as Stationary Engineer for Cleveland State University in the early 60's. Tony's great passion was marathon running. He ran his first marathon at age 53. Over the years he finished 51 marathons in Cleveland, San Francisco, Boston, NYC (21 times) and many more cities. He was also a triathlete, a big fan of the Cleveland Indians, and he loved movies. The viewing will be on Thursday, April 4 at 12:00pm, immediately preceding the Funeral Mass at 1:00pm at the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 27275 Aurora Rd., Solon, OH. Interment to follow at St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, 7700 Hoertz Road, Seven Hills, OH.
