Carole Young Marshall of Broadview Heights, Ohio passed away on December 25, 2021. She was born on November 29, 1942 in Cleveland.  She was the daughter of Jane Betz Young and Robert John Young, now deceased.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth David Marshall.

Carole graduated from Orange High School in 1960, from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1964, and from John Carroll University with a Master of Education in 1989. For more than three decades, Carole was a teacher with Solon City Schools.  She especially loved teaching fourth grade at Lewis Elementary School and Parkside Elementary School.

Carole, or Mimi as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was devoted to family. She loved to teach her grandchildren about the world and enjoyed watching them participate in sports, music and dance. She often made her signature cheesecake to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. Vibrant and fun-loving, Carole had many dear and longstanding friendships. She filled her days with activities that she loved, such as sailing, tennis and golf. She was an avid reader and regular attendee of the Cleveland Orchestra. With her husband Ken, she was a dedicated volunteer with the Ohio Lions and Seven Hills Lend-A-Hand.

Carole is survived by her son Peter Brown, wife Stefanie and their children Alex, Matt and Maggie, and by her daughter Betsy Tinsley and her sons Will and Ben. She is also survived by her brother Rick Young of Tulsa, OK.
