Charles A. Stankivicz, Marine Corp Veteran, retired 50 plus year journeyman plumber Local 55, passed away surrounded by family on May 29, 2022. He will be remembered for his love of family both near and far as well as his ever-welcoming smile. He made it a point to always greet you into his home, get you a drink and make sure you had plenty to eat. He leaves behind his wife of 60+ years Marilyn (nee Leposky), daughters April Yanda, DDS (Tim), Amy Bajzel (Dave), son Todd (Tina), grandchildren Chelsea Yanda Benza, DMD (Dr. Anthony); Samuel, Isabel Anne, Matthew, Jacob, Graci, Hailie Stankivicz; Ryan Ovale (Natalie); Kayte Edmonson (Mitch), Alexis and Michael Bajzel. Great grandchildren Delaney, Blake. Sisters Barbara Vale (Rick dec), Eva Variano (Antonio dec), Toni Yates (Ron dec); brother Frank Stavic (Linda), dear cousin Mike Long (Kitty); and Sister in laws Johanna (Walter dec) and Elaine (dec); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Charles joins his family in heaven including his parents Charles and Catherine, brothers Paul (Carleen dec), Ray, Joe, and sister Edna (Gary dec) …. in lieu of flowers a donation to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797.
