Christian's smile and charismatic personality would light up a room. He met and interacted with people so easily, and simply put, he never met a stranger. It seemed that Kindness and Christian were synonymous, as he would instinctively help others before himself. Those that knew Christian well are certainly aware that he had a horrible sense of direction and would often get lost driving. but he always remembered everyone he ever met and loved to give out nicknames. Christian would then be persistent that everyone addressed you by the name "Traphik" assigned you.

Everyone who crossed paths with Christian had a unique place in his heart, especially those he met while visiting the Breakfast Bungalow at Solon High School that was offered through the Special Needs Education Department. He was active in the Solon Recreation Blue Ribbon Program where he loved to hangout, dance, and join in Karaoke with his friends. He also joined his whole family in volunteering for Empower Sports over the years interacting with those very same friends.

Christian was a part of a special group of offensive linemen while at Solon High School where they bonded as one and cleared the way to back-to-back 10-0 seasons. As many of his teammates can attest, he enjoyed practice, but Dowdy was a "Gamer" under the lights. He played Lacrosse in the spring and helped the team to two Top 10 State Ranked seasons, including deep playoff runs. He continued his education and athletic career playing football all 4 years at Hiram College, where he was named Captain his senior season. He graduated with a degree in Communications and a minor in Entrepreneurship and made incredible friendships that he cherished. Hiram was like a second home to Christian and he never wanted to leave campus after the school year ended.

He would not want tears but rather to have us gather, laugh, and share stories of his shenanigans. These stories are the beautiful memories of the guy we loved and will forever love. As his life was the light that sparked the light in others, please share his light and pay it forward by giving a hug or saying a kind word to someone each day. His light may have flickered but together we can make it shine bright again.
