CHRISTINE M. TREU (nee Hornack), Age 69 of Solon. Christine dedicated her life to serving

others. She was a passionate volunteer and a deeply spiritual member of her church community.

Through Church of the Holy Angels, Christine mentored junior high school girls at St. Thomas

Aquinas school in Cleveland, helped build a new gym at St. Jerome's school, and contributed to

Safely Home, a safe haven for young adults aging out of foster care. As board president of the

Art Therapy Studio, she chaired many successful fundraisers, wisely guided the organization into

the future, and discovered her own artistic talents, creating unique works that will continue to

shine her light on all of us. By far her most cherished commitment was taking care of her family,

who will miss her generous heart and impeccable style beyond measure. Beloved wife of Kurt;

devoted mother of Libby (Steven Aviram); loving grandmother of Lucy; dearest daughter of the

late Emil and Irene Hornack; dear sister of Emil Hornack Jr. (deceased) (Jan), Terri Pasadyn

(Tom); dear daughter-in- law of the late Herman and Mariana; sister-in-law of Eric (deceased),

Elise Hassink (Martin), Kris (Nancy) and Gretchen Dejter (Rob); dear aunt of many and great

aunt. Family suggests donations to Church of the Holy Angels or the Art Therapy Studio, 12200

at Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls (Please gather directly at
