GRAY age 88 of Solon, OH, passed away June 18, 2017 and is survived by his love 0f 40 years, Patricia Hanousek. He was the loving father of Steve (deceased), Sue Snead of Cary, N.C., Mike/Sam (Sara) of Lake Lure, N.C. and Nan Gray (Eric Day) of Newport, VA, dearest grandfather of Stacy Weaver, Christopher Llorent, Steve Gray II, Amanda Gray, Gordon Day, Graham Day, and Kevin Snead. Ed was a devoted great grandfather of six and brother of Dana (Barbara) of Honolulu, HI. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceeded in death by his brother Alan Gray, son Steve Gray, great grandson Reid Huffman and son-in-law Jack Snead. Born in Nappanee, IN, Ed moved to Cleveland OH during his employment with Vitreous Steel. He enjoyed Boy Scouts with his son,, flying, skiing, cycling and found happiness in the people around him. He relished in person visits from family and friends and was an avid digital communicator when in person visits were not possible. Ed serves as a proud U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was past president of Suburban Ski Club and former councilman in Bentleyville, OH. Among his many likeable qualities, Ed never met a stranger, displayed kindness to all he met and found reasons to keep others smiling.
