On Friday, December 4 ^th 2020, Elmira C. Sitosky, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 91.

Elmira (a.k.a "Mira") was born on March 25, 1929 in St. Thomas Virgin Islands to Thomas Alexander and Suzanne Valentine Berry.   Elmira later at a young age moved to Roanoke Virginia and then years later relocated to Cleveland Ohio where she got a job at a Woolen Mill and later met and married Stanley W. Sitosky and raised a set of twin daughters and one son, Karen, Connie and Anthony (a.k.a "Tony")

Elmira had a passion and love for dancing, particularly Polka Dancing and was inspired by her brother who also lived in Cleveland, Louis Thomas Berry, an accomplished Ball Room Dancer who frequented the Aragon Ballroom and Polka Dancing at the Karlin Hall on Fleet Avenue for many years where they  displayed their dancing talents.  She also loved to listen to music and country music in particular, and was a big Elvis Fan, often attending the once grand "Olympia Theater" on Broadway Ave to watch his movies.  She was very energetic, vivacious and enjoyed physical activity and walking.  Cooking and baking were also a passion, and her specialties were homemade Pizza, Bread and Johnny cake which was an island delicacy.  She spent most of her life as a devoted wife and mother and also worked in restaurants as a waitress and various factory jobs in the Cleveland area.  She was a devoted wife and was her husbands right hand man and chief bottle washer and she loved and often went fishing with him in Lake Erie.  Elmira and her husbands home was always hospitable, no one ever came to the house and left hungry.   Their motto was always, "We may not have enough money but we got plenty of food".

Elmira is pre-deceased by Thomas and Suzanne Berry (parents), Stanley Sitosky (husband), Connie Berry (daughter), Louis and Joseph Berry (brothers), and Andria V. Berry (sister).  She is survived by her two children, Karen Kovalcik and Tony Berry (Cerela, wife), her stepdaughter Doris Przybylski, her two sisters Thelma Questel and Gertrude Berry (George, husband), 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A closed funeral service just for the immediate family will be held on Friday, December 11 ^th ,2020 at the Komoroski Funeral Home at 4105, 71 ^st Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, at 1pm.  Flowers may be sent to this address.
