Gregory Christopher Bresler, better known as Greg, passed away peacefully at home the morning of November 15th at the age of 45.

He is survived by his children, Nathan (grandson, Liam), Mckenzi, Savanna, Collin, Madison and Cooper (a.k.a. Burger), mother, Charla Ibranyi and brother, Nicholas (wife Karalyn, nieces Scarlet and Hendrix).

In early 2016, Greg suffered from a seizure which lead to a diagnoses of brain cancer. At the same time he battled a rare hereditary blood-clotting disease, making treatment of the cancer complicated. Though the diseases may have harmed his body, it had the opposite effect on his spirit. The Cleveland Clinic removed much of the tumor but could not remove his stubbornness and thankfully, left his incredible sense of humor intact.

Greg grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved around a lot as a kid, living in Mayfield Hts., Collinwood, Euclid and Chesterland. He loved playing basketball, watching sports, reading poetry, spending time with his friends and children, and helping the community. Unfortunately for the ladies, he was handsome, charismatic and had a contagious laugh. This led to numerous lifelong friendships and plenty of children to carry on his spirit in their hearts. As a kid he liked Rocky movies and eating junk food all night. As an adult, he liked Rocky movies and eating junk food all night.

Greg had a lot of friends because he really cared about people. You could find him at All Souls Cemetery on the anniversary of the passing of numerous friends and family who passed on before him. He was an incredible Best Man at weddings, a sincere eulogizer, and somehow, incredibly lucky around a roulette wheel. He never got to win the Ohio Lottery, or watch the Browns win the Super Bowl, but that just put him in fine company with the rest of us.

Greg attended Euclid High School and in his 30s he went on to study Social Work at Cuyahoga Community College. He continued his studies at Cleveland State University, where he received his Bachelors and Master's Degree in Social Work. He spent time making people smile and laugh, as a bartender for too many places to name. He worked passionately for The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, where he received employee of the year multiple times and worked tirelessly for too many people to name. He was beautiful inside and out, larger than life and will be dearly missed by too many people to name.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Tabone-Komorowski Funeral Home (33650 Solon Rd., Cleveland Ohio 44139) on Friday November 22, 2024 at 3pm with reception to follow.
