Janet Elinore Wolfgang Jacobsen Claywell. 87, a lifelong resident of Canton, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.Janet was born August 11, 1929 to the late Russell and Hilda Wolfgang Hidinger. Janet graduated from Canton McKinley High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Carl Jacobsen and William Claywell.Janet is survived by her children, Lenore (Glenn) Looman, Bruce (Lisa) Jacobsen, Carla (John) Curran, and Jan (Bruce) Rutsky; fourteen (14) grandchildren and eighteen (18) great-grandchildren; half-brother David (Kathy) Hidinger; and her beloved dog, Rosie. During her life Janet loved and enjoyed music and dancing, and took great pride in her garden. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family.There will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Stark County Humane Society.
