John Alan Woodburn, AKA Woody, 80 of Stow, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023. He was born in Washington, D.C. on December 24, 1942, to the late Jack and Ruth Woodburn (nee Porter). John will be missed by his daughter Annette (Dan) Hintz and brother Bill Woodburn (Peggy) and Uncle David and Aunt Christy with their three daughters Vicky, Gabby, Lexi and Aunt Laura with her children Alyssa and Tyler. Ed and Denise Gazdacko along their four daughters Heather, Jessie, Misty and Karra were very special friends with John. The Gazdacko's were Johns's extended family as they cared for him for almost 2 decades enjoying holidays and family gatherings together. John graduated from Solon High School, attended Adrian College and served in the United States Navy for four years. A private memorial service will be held at the Tabone Komorowski funeral home in Solon with burial at Knollwood cemetery in Mayfield Hts., Ohio.
