KENNETH B. SWANSON, 89 years of age, went home to be with the Lord on April 8th, 2021. On August 6th, 1931, he was born in Two Harbors, MN, to Ivar and Esther (nee Nelson) Swanson. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather. Ken served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War. As a committed follower of the Lord, Jesus Christ, Ken enjoyed volunteering for Truth for Life Ministries. He also spent several years serving residents of Anna Maria of Aurora, where he eventually became a resident himself. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Carol L. Swanson of Aurora; sons Michael (Tracy) Swanson of Brentwood, TN, and Stephen (Holly) Swanson of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew (Renee) Swanson. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Adam (Caitlin) Swanson, Emily (Joe) Durbin, Jacob Swanson, and Simon Swanson. And Ken was blessed with two great-grandchildren: Jack and Lucy Swanson. There will be a celebration of life in the future once the pandemic has waned. A private burial will occur on Monday, April 12th, at the Aurora Cemetery.
