Lana Carol Sutphin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away
peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 78 years old.
Born in Columbus, Georgia in 1946, Carol was a devout Christian and displayed her faith
through her kindness and compassion for others. Everyone who met and knew Carol loved her.
Carol retired from her career as HR Administrator at Swagelok in 2013. She was an avid reader
and loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed music and the theater.
Carol is survived by her husband James (Joe) Sutphin, her sons Jonathan (JJ) and Brian
Sutphin, her daughter- in- law Melissa, and grandchildren Lilyanna and Presley Sutphin and
brother Larry (Helen) Wimmer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sye and Anges
Wimmer.
Calling hours will be held at Tabone Komorowski Funeral Home (33650 Solon Rd. Solon, OH)
on Tuesday September 10 from 6-8pm. There will also be a short service followed by burial on
Wednesday September 11 starting at noon also at Tabone Komorowski Funeral Home.
Carol will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
