LLOYD EDWARD SHELTON, age 70, beloved husband of 43 years to Gloria (nee Kruzel).  Loving dad of Danielle Latarski (Kurt) and Staci Shelton.  World's #1 papa to Makayla Rose Latarski and Wyatt James Latarski.  Friend and family to many.  Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Ann Shelton.

Lloyd earned numerous awards as a softball pitcher during his 20+ years of playing.  When he hung up his glove he turned to umpiring. He was an ASA, USSSA, and One Nation umpire for 30+ years along with being a flag football referee for the USFTL, GCFFL, and the NEOFFL for 25+ years.  He earned the award of ASA "Man in Blue" along with being inducted into the Greater Cleveland Slow Pitch Softball Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a softball umpire.  He also was inducted into the USFTL Flag Football Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a referee and in March 2022 he will be inducted into the NEOFFL Hall of Fame as a football referee.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his Ohio State Buckeye dominate on the football field.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00-8:00pm at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Rd, Independence, OH 44131. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:00am at Holy Name Church, 8328 Broadway Ave. Cleveland, OH 44105. Everyone is asked to meet at the Church on Friday.  Burial St. Mary's Cemetery.

Per family request, regardless of vaccination status masks are required at the funeral home and church.
