Margaret Ann Peto Lorencz passed away on March 30, 2016 at the age of 93 in Conroe, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1922 in Dillonvale, Ohio to Hungarian immigrants Charles and Mary Peto. She was the second youngest of six children. Charles was a coal miner making Margaret a true coal miner's daughter. Margaret attended school in Colliers, West Virginia. At age 14 she left school in order to help support her parents. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked as a housekeeper for $3 per week which she sent back to her family. During World War II Margaret worked for Cleveland Graphite Bronze making ball bearings for the United States Navy. For decades she has kept her family entertained with her numerous colorful stories of her childhood and those remarkable days during the war.

Margaret married Julius Lorencz on December 15, 1945. They settled in Warrensville and then later in Solon, Ohio. Along with raising two daughters, Margaret worked in Higbee's Department Store in downtown Cleveland. She loved to work and be productive. After Julius died in 1984 she continued living in Solon until 2009 when she relocated to Montgomery, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Katherine Lorencz of Streetsboro, Ohio and daughter and son in law Judy and Steve Meeker of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren William Lorencz, Susan Lorencz, Jenny Larson, Mandy Golian, Sarah Golian, Laura Black, Randy Meeker and Holly Meeker; great grandchildren Robert, Heather, Grace, Blake, Sarah, Sam, Gabriel, Ella, Eli, Cora, and Noah as well as many friends, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Tabone Komorowski Funeral Home, 33650 Solon Road, Solon, Ohio. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Solon.
