MICHAEL DAVID JERRY, Age 73, of Solon, Ohio, passed away on February 25th after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Linda Jerry, children Michele Jakubs and Edward (Holly) Jakubs, Jr., grandchildren Julien Jerry, Nicholas Jakubs, Alexander Jakubs, and his sister Christina Koch. He is preceded in death by his son Michael Todd Jerry, parents John and Helene Jerry, and brothers Jack Jerry and Terry Jerry. Mike was a loving husband and father, extremely proud grandfather, and an incredible friend. Mike and Linda were married for twenty nine wonderful years. Even though Michele and Ed were technically his step children, he loved them and considered them his own and their bond was unbreakable. One of his greatest joys in life was being "Poppy" to his grandsons, Alex and Nick. Mike also loved spending time with friends and extended family who admired him and treasured his friendship. He didn't judge people and was always there for them with a smile, a joke, or just to listen or lend a helping hand. Mike was very social and enjoyed riding his bike on the Metro Parks Tow Path, playing cards, gardening, grilling, and eating. In light of the pandemic, funeral services or a viewing will not be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association or Greater Cleveland Food Bank, in memory of Mike.
