MIKE SLOVICH, Age 95, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 17 ^th , 2018. Born March 25 ^th , 1923, in Seanor, Pennsylvania. Son of the late Alex and Anna (nee Pitach) Slovich. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Genevie (nee Meyers) of 65 years and brothers Frank, John, and Charles (who died in WWII); sisters Rose, Anna and Mary. Loving and devoted father of Michalene (R. Terrence) Murphy, Patricia (Michael) Burnette, Charles (Audrey) Slovich, Michael (Susan) Slovich, Genevie (Mark) Hannan, Vista (Marc) Brummer. Grandfather of 17: Peter (Susan) Kavouras, Jaime (Timothy) Blados, Alex (Melissa) Kavouras, Breen (Kari) Murphy, Eric (Tina) Zipay, Ethan Zipay, Laura Slovich (Gerard Krug), Melissa Slovich, Amanda Slovich, Michael Slovich III, Genevie Lambert (fiancé John Setlock), Crystal (John) Krzepina, Samantha (Ben) Salway, Mark Hannan, Courtney (Ed) Jones, Jacqui Brummer (fiancé Joe Butkovic), Ari Brummer. Great grandfather of 14: Benjamin, Julia, Michalene, Josephine, Alex Jr., William, Alison, Henry, Robert, Matilda, John Jr., Cooper, Gunner and Amelia.

Veteran of WWII. He was in Army Air Corps and flew 60 missions as a gunner. After the war he went home to Pennsylvania and had a job in the coal mines. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Cleveland, OH and started his own metal recycling business.
