PAUL DZEIAK passed away on June 15, He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 28, 1923, to the late Andrew and Susanna (Dolhi) Dzeiak. He was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret (Nick) Bobulsky and Mary (Myron) Billy, and his niece Lynn Billy. He is survived by special family caregivers Shawn and Sharon Billy; also survived by nieces Judy (Frank) Theus, and Jeanette (Ken) Mueller; nephews Dale (Wendy) Billy, and David Billy; and great-nieces and nephews Greg (Beth) Mueller, Colleen (Andy) Eicher, and Ryan, Eric, and Hannah Billy; and great great nieces and nephew Samuel, Ally, Katy, and Lily. Paul was one of the few remaining WWII Purple Heart Veterans in Ohio. He served with the 3rd Marine Division Company 2nd Battalion Fleet Marine Force. He was wounded (bullet and bayonet) during the Battle for the Marianas Islands in the South Pacific. Paul was involved with the planning and development of the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio, volunteering there from 1983-2017 for a total of 4,707 volunteer hours which makes him the longest serving Western Reserve national Cemetery volunteer.
