It was the last Saturday of the month in November 2023 at 8:23 p.m. that Paul Edwin Stuerzenberger, 88, of Solon, Ohio left this earthly existence to become one of heaven's newest angels. Paul was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 21, 1934, the first-born child of Pauline and Edwin Stuerzenberger. After graduation from Cathedral Latin in 1952, Paul went on to attend college, working towards an engineering degree. In March of 1956, his plans took a turn when he decided to enlist into the United States Navy. Paul served as a deck hand until October 1957 when he was honorably discharged. In May of 1958, Paul and his wife, Margaret (Marge) were married. In May of 2023, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. In 1960, Paul was accepted into the die maker apprenticeship program at the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio. While employed there, he took advantage of many free classes offered by Chrysler, such as small engine repair and computer technology. On January 31, 1993, Paul retired from Chrysler. He and Marge spent the winters in various Florida locations as snow birds and traveled the world. They always looked forward to returning to Ohio to be with their immediate and extended families, and friends. Paul wore many hats, literally and figuratively. From top hats to stocking caps, he had one for every situation, occasion and holiday. Paul wore many other hats; husband, dad, brother, son, friend and perhaps his most treasured hat, 'Papa'. He became Papa in 1995 when his first granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Tarro was born. Three years later, she was joined by her sister, Morgan Michelle Tarro. One of the girls' fondest memories of their early years with Papa was when he would put fingernail polish on their fingernails. They said it made them feel pretty and loved. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marge; their three children, Donna Marie (Michael) Mallis, Ronald Michael (Linda Rini) Stuerzenberger, and Linda Michelle (Charles) Tarro-Schmid; granddaughters, Tiffany Ann and Morgan Michelle Tarro; and too many extended family members, cousins, nieces, nephews and their offspring to list.

Visitation will be held at the Tabone Komorowski Funeral Home in Solon, Ohio on Tuesday December 5th from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with a service at 12:30 P.M. and he will be interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6th. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are suggested to the Tim Tebow Foundation that sponsors 'Night to Shine' for persons with special needs, donations can be sent to Cuyahoga Valley Church, 5055 E.
