(Stapleton) passed away quietly on May 4, 2019 at age 91. Rita was preceded in death by brothers Frank Stapleton (Betty), Raymond Stapleton, and Bill Stapleton, and sister Lucille Ward (Bob). Survived by Martha Stapleton and dear cousin Pat Evans. She and her late husband Howie enjoyed gardening, golf, and travel with friends. Together they raised and are survived by their three children: Roger Whittaker (Linda), Leslie Whittaker Sobey (Allen) and Laurel Telliard (Charlie). She was also a proud grandmother to her two granddaughters and a recent great-grandmother of three. Rita spent her later years shopping, serving snacks at Grantwood Golf Course, and watching golfers from her porch or the Tribe on TV. A small service will be held at the cemetery on June 15th. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the The Angel Fund for needy children through St. Rita's parish.
