Theodore "Ted" Francis Rongers

Theodore Francis Rongers, 76, of Oakwood Village, Ohio, a loving and kind hearted man through his life, entered into rest on July 12, 2024.

He was born August 12, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio.  He is predeceased by his father Edward Rongers and mother Julia Checki Rongers.

Dedicated to his family and career, he never fell short in putting his heart into all that he did. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying shooting, hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He enjoyed teaching and sharing the love of the outdoors as a Boy Scout leader. He served his country honorably in the Navy, as well as his local police and fire departments with pride and integrity. We remember him as a gentle man, dedicated father, and loyal friend who never failed in lending a helping hand when needed.

He is survived by his wife Diane (nee Barry), sons Sean (Jennifer Cooper), Chris (Barry) and Patrick, and daughter Jackie Cottle, as well as the lifelong friends he made.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 21st from 2 – 5 p.m. at Tabone-Komorowski Funeral Home in Solon. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 22nd at 11 a.m. at St. Cosmos & Damien Church in Twinsburg, Ohio.
