THOMAS ANDREW CANNON, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023.  Tom was born June 4, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Irish immigrants Patrick and Winifred Cannon, both born in Ireland and then met & settled in Cleveland.   He is preceded in death by his sister Mary and brother William.   Tom graduated from Holy Name High School in Cleveland and married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jane preceded him in death in 2011 and this January marks their 70 ^th wedding anniversary.

After graduating, Tom earned his stationary engineers license and worked for Caterpillar in Mentor for many years.  He was a union steward and was proud to have negotiated the gold standard benefits some retirees now enjoy.  He was a man of strong work ethics and was one of the few employees who barely missed a day's work.

Tom and Mary Jane have five children:  Patrick Cannon of Lakewood, Maureen (John) Cingel of Parma Heights, Thomas Jr. (Barb) Cannon of Aurora, Kathy (John) Mroczka of Brunswick, and Michael (Marie) Cannon of Pepper Pike.  He is also the loving grandfather of five grandchildren:  Kristen, Brian, Julie, Jessica, and Tommy.  He was blessed to welcome his newborn great granddaughter, Charlotte.

Tom loved to participate in all types of sports.  Playing softball with the senior men's softball league "The Babes of 1916" brought him great joy, including managing a team in Solon.  He also enjoyed competing in the Solon Senior Olympics for multiple years and was the proud recipient of many trophies & medals.

The viewing for Tom will be on Sunday, January 22 ^nd from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at TABONE KOMORWOSKI FUNERAL HOME, 33650 Solon Road, Solon Ohio.   A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 23 ^rd at 10:30 a.m. at THE FUNERAL HOME  followed by a private interment at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio.
