Thomas E. Murray died at home on Sunday, February 18th of complications due to Parkinson's and lung disease.  Affectionately known as Tem, he grew up in Westfield, New Jersey, where he excelled in sports and academics. Following his family's move to Lexington, he graduated from high school and from the University of Kentucky, with a degree in electrical engineering and an enduring love for the Wildcats. In the Seventies, he ventured into theater management, overseeing the Barn Dinner Theater in Kentucky and the Columbus/Springfield Dinner Theater in Ohio. His lifelong love of music led him into an adventurous gig with the Gary Edwards and Sage band as their keyboard man. A few years later, he settled into professional engineering, working for multinational corporations, headquartered in Hartford, CT and Cleveland, OH. A world traveler, his position as troubleshooter and analyst meant frequent trips to China, Japan, India, and Europe. He solved problems and made dear friends overseas.  As a long time resident of Solon, Tem was a faithful member of Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and-his great joy-a member of the Choir, where he was loved for his kindness, his gentle spirit, and voice. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Celeste Lloyd, a devoted sister, Lynn K. Murray Waggoner, a nephew, Drexel Waggoner and his wife, Amanda. The family hopes to celebrate this good man's life in late spring with a Memorial Celebration at Pioneer.  The hole in our hearts will be filled with the knowledge that our Tem is at peace and in the arms of God.
