Tom Sparenga, 77, of Garfield Heights, Ohio passed away on Saturday November 23, 2019 in the comfort of his own home with his wife beside him. He was born December 7, 1941 to the late Adam and Olga Sparenga.

In his younger days he was an avid athlete. Most days he played ball with his buddies sun up to sun down. He was a member of a band and an accomplished guitar player.

Tom was a tool and dye maker and automation repairman at Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant until he retired in 2007.

His greatest joy in life came from his family. He was married to the love of his life Joyce for 54 years. Together they had 4 beautiful daughters Dawn, Lisa (Jimi), Debbi (Don) and Shelli (Jason). He was the proud grandpa of Mena, Sydney, Autumn, Jack, Ryan, Anderson, Sarah, Samantha and Andrew (aka Dennis the Menace). His greatest joys in life were celebrating his daughter's and grandchildren's achievements at school, on the field…no matter where or what he was there to watch and cheer them on.

He was the brother of Sandi Nemecek (Bill) and the deceased Carol Meyer (Joe). He was a special uncle to Renee (George), Robert (Judy), Natalie (deceased), Roseanne (Tom), John (deceased), Jeff (Marlena), Mark, Joyce (Chris) and Wayne and great uncle to many.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Joseph and Agnes Trusiak.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday November 29, 2019 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Fortuna Funeral Home 7076 Brecksville Rd. Independence, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Therese Church 5276 East 105 ^th Street Garfield Heights, Ohio. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
